Welcome to the Office of the Ombuds

The Ombuds Office is a safe and confidential place to share your USC-related issues with a University Ombuds. We will work with you to explore options or paths to manage your concern.


Schedule an Appointment

We are able to meet with visitors on Zoom, by telephone, or in person at either the UPC or HSC campus. You may schedule an appointment to meet with an Ombuds by emailing or calling us.

UPC Ombuds

For UPC Ombuds, please call (213) 821-9556 or email upcombuds@usc.edu.

The UPC Ombuds Office serves the schools and services on the UPC campus*. The UPC Ombuds Office is located in room 329 of Stonier Hall (STO)** located at 837 Downey Way at the University Park Campus.

*Please note that the Dwork-Peck School of Social Work, Davis School of Gerontology, and Ostrow School of Dentistry are served by the HSC Ombuds.

**Our UPC office is located on the third floor of Stonier Hall, which is accessible by stairs. If you are unable to utilize stairs, please let us know and we will arrange to meet you at an alternate location.

The HSC Ombuds Office serves all health sciences schools, services, and programs*. The HSC Ombuds Office is located at the Health Sciences Campus on the B-Level of SRH (Seaver Hall) located at 1969 Zonal Avenue.

*Please note that the Dwork-Peck School of Social Work, Davis School of Gerontology, and Ostrow School of Dentistry are served by the HSC Ombuds.

The Office of the Ombuds is not an office of notice for the University and cannot receive formal complaints on behalf of USC.

To protect confidentiality, the Ombuds Office does not allow recording or transcription of meetings by any means.
